About

Born in Brisbane, Australia, I spent my first 30 years there, and it was in Brisbane that I gained my Associate Diploma in Information Technology (South Brisbane TAFE), and Bachelor of Built Environment (QUT).  During this time, I worked for 9 years with a builders hire company (Centenary Hire, 1993-2002), where I learned valuable logistics and management skills - as well as learning volumes about the building industry itself.

I also worked as an architectural student for Daniels Anderson Architects (1998-1999) and ML Design (1999-2000).

At the close of 2002, I moved to New Zealand with my wife, and then 2 month old first born. I worked as a builder for one and a half years with Simpson Architectural Construction Ltd (2003-2004), before completing my Bachelor of Architecture at Unitec in Auckland.

During this time, I gained employment at Architects New Zealand Ltd (2004), which became Architects Aotearoa Ltd after the ANZ partnership was disolved; and then became AAA Design Ltd (2007) when the owner of AAL passed away. Whilst I was there, and in addition to my architectural responsibilities, I developed the project, timesheet & invoicing databases, which were used as an integral part of the business.  I also wrote the office CAD manual.

At the end of 2007, I was head-hunted to Ignite Architects Ltd, where I stayed for the next five years. During this time I wrote the ArchiCAD & SketchUp office manuals, and contributed significantly to the process protocols developed by the office. Two major drawing sets that I was instrumental in preparing were used as office exemplars (Albany A1 & Hoyts Te Awa).  I also gained my architectural registration during this time.

At the close of 2012, I was offered a position as Senior Architect at Rice Daubney in Sydney, Australia (now HDR | Rice Daubney), to work on the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. I migrated my family back to Australia, and commenced this position early 2013.

In June 2015, I secured a Project / Senior Architect position at Cottee Parker Architects in Brisbane, where I was a key member on the team for Queens Wharf Brisbane project.

I left Cottee Parker in August 2017 to work as set designer on the Avatar sequels in New Zealand.

I currently work for Webber Australia in the role of Project Director.

I currently reside in Ipswich, Australia, with my wife and four children.
